Café Polo in Miramar has a reputation for exceptional food and professional bistro style service, with international and national acclaim in Time Out Sydney, Australian Vogue Travel and Entertaining and Cuisine.

We strive to bring you the best local produce based on the principles of ‘Slow Food’ - supporting local suppliers, using additive free products, free range meat and eggs and organic fair trade coffee - with great service to match.

We open for breakfast and lunch from 8am Tuesday to Saturday and dinner for four nights a week (Wednesday – Saturday) with early bookings from 5.30pm for families. It is recommended to book in advance.

The Café Polo’s in house bakery produces fresh croissants, bagels and bread every day. Takeaway and delivery is available. We also provide catering for all occasions from your private dinner parties with a chef and full silver service to large cocktail functions. The café is also available for venue hire for private functions including weddings and birthdays.

Café Polo is fully licensed. The wine list has been tailored to suit the style of food with a focus on New Zealand wines. With the wine and beer selection changing regularly there is always something new and interesting to try!

The name “Café Polo” emphasises Polo’s place in the community as it is based on the close proximity to the Miramar Polo Grounds on Para Street where, in the 1800’s, Wellington’s Polo matches were played.
